|Is Sony about to become Irrelevant? (May 11th)|

I hope not‚ but things do not look good. Sony just announced it lost $5.7 billion in its last fiscal year ending in March. This is its fourth consecutive year of massive losses.
This is unsustainable. There are no innovative products on the horizon. Competitors like Apple‚ Samsung and LG are eating away at Sony?s market share like flesh eating bacteria.
Sony must re-connect with consumers and start producing innovative entertainment that people want. Perhaps it has become too diverse and its culture of consensus decision-making has led it astray.
